Murder and rape accused Jurgen Vandekeere (41) handed himself over to the Benoni SAPS on January 15 around 6pm.

Vandekeere will appear at the Pretoria High Court today (January 16) for the murder and rape of Chantelle Barnard.
He was on the run since September 9, 2013, after failing to appear in the Delmas High Court for the start of his trial.
Barnard was found raped and murdered in Brentwood Park, on April 1, 2011, after she went missing earlier that day.
