Come pull out weeds at Korsman

Korsman Conservancy is looking for hands to help eradicate weeds in the bird sanctuary on January 15 and 19.

Chairperson Jane Trembath said the weeds are threatening grasslands near the Kilfenora gate.

“These weeding days are easy work – just sit in the grass and chat; no digging and no effort.

“Bring a cushion and a sunhat. We have some gloves to lend out. And, bring your friends too!” Trembath said.

The exercise takes place from 8am to 10am on January 15 and from 8.30am to 11am on January 19.

“Even if people cannot spend the entire time with us, what time they can spare will certainly help,” Trembath said.
