Daveyton nanny in dock after toddler found dead in storeroom

Mannana Celinah Tsabana (39) is facing a murder charge after Daveyton toddler Langelihle Mnguni was found dead in his home while in her care on October 18.

According to TimesLive, Tsabane is alleged to have strangled and suffocated the toddler.

“He was 19 months old when he was allegedly suffocated and strangled to death,” the report from TimesLive read.

“His neck was fractured.

“On the day he died, Tsabane allegedly told the family she and the child were attacked by intruders.

“She said they made off with the child.

“The little boy was, however, found dead in a storeroom at home several hours later.”

The Benoni SAPS has not provided confirmation of these details or any further background information about the incident.

The accused is currently in custody and will make her next court appearance on December 10.
