Four Benoni-based charities are, for the first time, banding together for #GivingTuesdaySA (December 3) to make Christmas special for more than 400 children and families this festive season.
Home Start SA, Kids Haven, Life Choices and The Almond Tree, which all serve children and families in the greater Benoni area, are encouraging locals to get involved in the initiative.

Following Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which are all about getting the best buy, #GivingTuesday is simply that, in the spirit of giving back.
#GivingTuesday encourages everyone to be generous and give donations, volunteer hours, donate food and clothing, and perform acts of kindness for those in need.
Fund-raising coordinator of Kids Haven, Susan Daly, said a Backabuddy link will be available for community members to make their donations.
