Red Cross Nursery and Pre-school jungle gym gets a facelift

The jungle gym took a week to finish and on October 29 the Benoni Host Lions Club officially handed it over to the nursery.

The Red Cross Nursery and Pre-school was one of the organisations that was chosen by the Benoni Host Lions Club to do repairs on their jungle gym which cost R8 500 to revamp.

Sylvia Tabola, branch manager of Red Cross Nursery and Pre-school, said: “Form the bottom of my heart I thank the Benoni Host Lions Club, they responded so quickly and they were hands on. This goes a long way because the jungle gym is where the children play and they made sure it is safe.”

The jungle gym took a week to finish and on October 29 the Benoni Host Lions Club officially handed it over to the nursery. The children, who come from Benoni, Crystal Park, Daveyton and Rynfield, were happy to see their playing ground improved.

“I like playing on the jungle gym because I don’t have it at home. It makes me happy,” said Gontse Ntuli, learner.

“We are very proud to have been able to help the Red Cross Nursery School in what may been a small way, but every donation and everything anybody can ever do to help others is always appreciated; we find our leads through the City Times. We feel very happy and glad that we are able to give back to the community in any way we can,” said Gillian Jones from Benoni Host Lions Club.

For donations contact Sylvia Tabola on 078 634 8926.
