Annie Steijn, past district governor and club secretary, explained that Angel Wings is an NPO which opened its doors in 1999.

“They provide for the underprivileged and needy with housing, food and clothing, and even assist people with finding work,” she said.

“HIV positive, elderly and disabled people are also cared for at the centre.”

The Rotary Club of Benoni would primarily like to assist Angel Wings to upgrade their facilities, hence the upcoming fund-raiser.

Steijn said the centre is in dire need of upgraded ablution facilities, a septic tank and kitchen and dining area upgrades.

“Any and all assistance with funds or materials to help us to help Angel Wings to renovate will be greatly appreciated,” she said.
