Three dogs confiscated in Etwatwa
The Benoni SPCA is based on 3 Klein Street, Lakefield.
Proactive inspections by the Benoni SPCA led to the confiscation of three dogs from a scrapyard in Etwatwa on September 10.
“The Benoni SPCA Inspectorate found the animals tied to scrap car parts without water or shelter,” said Benoni SPCA senior inspector and manager, Vicky Finnemore.

“One of the dogs had sustained severe injuries to her neck from the tight rope that had cut through her skin.
“After the owner failed to comply with a warning, the animals were seized and taken to a local veterinarian for treatment.”
The Benoni SPCA would like to thank the Etwatwa SAPS for their efficient service.
“The owner will be charged with animal cruelty,” Finnemore added.
