The Crystal Park SAPS crime prevention team performed a stop-and-search in the area after receiving a tip-off about drug dealing.
“This led to the arrest of a 19-year-old male suspect for dealing in drugs,” said Crystal Park SAPS spokesperson Sgt Lerato Mopeli. “The suspect will appear in the Benoni Magistrate’s Court soon.”

In addition, the Crystal Park SAPS hosted a causal day at the station for the officers on September 9. In the spirit of giving, officers donated various items to those in need within the community.
“Three disabled members of the community were identified by the officers and received a special gift. A prayer was also done at the station,” said Mopeli.
The Crystal Park CPF Sector Four elections will take place on October 7 at 6.30pm at the Hebron Theological College at 7 Sports Road, Slaterville AH.
The community is encouraged to participate in the election.
