A case of murder is being investigated by the Benoni SAPS after a man (27) was shot dead at around 3.10am this morning (September 6) at a residence in Brentwood Park.
“The deceased and his partner heard a noise, which he went to investigate,” said Benoni SAPS spokesperson Capt Nomsa Sekele.
“The deceased opened the front door and was shot immediately by a suspect in the upper body.
“He died on scene.”
According to Sekele, a witness saw three suspects escape from the scene.
“Nothing was taken from the residence and the motive for the killing is unknown.”
