AfriForum’s Benoni neighbourhood watch holds visibility patrol

No serious incidents were reported.

The AfriForum neighbourhood watch in Benoni held a mass patrol in their respective areas in cooperation with various security companies and the community policing forum (CPF) to sharpen policing visibility recently.

A total of 61 patrollers turned up to make a difference and 1 359km were covered in 215 man-hours.

“It is gladdening to see how members from various safety structures can stand together to make an active difference,” said vice-chairperson of AfriForum Benoni Ettiene de Klerk.

“We also signed up new AfriForum members throughout the evening.

“AfriForum’s Benoni neighbourhood watch will continuously tackle projects and regularly hold patrols to attempt to combat crime and promote safety in cooperation with the SAPS and other safety institutions.”
