Remember to support the City Times/Northmead Square children’s book drive, which is on until August 30.
The initiative is in support of National Book Week, September 2 to 8, and the SA Book Fair, also taking place that week.
Pop your donation of previously-loved children’s books (for children of all ages) into the collection bins at the square or drop books off at the City Times office, also in Northmead Square.

The donations will be distributed to various charities and organisations in Benoni which help children foster a love for reading.
So, come on Benoni, get spring cleaning and dust off those books nobody has turned a page of in a very long time – just think about the child in whose hands that book will end up, and that you will have contributed to increasing literacy in South Africa!
