A man died after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a tree on the corner of Great North Road and Mercury Street around 9pm on August 16.
“We received the call around 9.25pm,” said ER24 paramedic on scene, Andrew Cusdin.

“When we arrived on scene, the man was still inside his vehicle.
“The man succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead on scene.”
Cusdin said part of Great North Road heading towards Tom Jones Street was temporarily closed when EMPD officers arrived on scene.
