Youth talent show held in Mayfield a success

The youth were also warned by SAPS about the dangers of substance abuse.

The Putfontein Social Crime Prevention members, Oliver’s House and the Putfontein Youth Desk held a successful youth talent show in Mayfield Extension Six at Christ the Rock Church recently.

“The aim of the event was to encourage the young people to take their talent and education seriously,” explained Putfontein SAPS spokesperson Const Raider Ubisi.

“The audiences were treated to a live music performance, comedy, drum beats and poetry by the up-and-coming young artists.”

The end of the event saw all the participants being issued with appreciation certificates and medals, with Putfontein SAPS station commander Lt Col Wellington Mathiane thanking everyone who made this event a success.
