Ithemba Trust and Bureau Veritas show appreciation

Daveyton teachers inspired on International Women’s Day .

The Ithemba Trust with Bureau Veritas Southern Africa celebrated their inaugural inspirational International Women’s Day at Ntsikana Primary School in Daveyton on March 8.

Chairperson of Ithemba Trust Yvonne Busisiwe Kgame addressed learners and teachers at the school.

Kgame is a passionate leader with a 30-year career in education and television underpinned by a powerful desire to serve and make a difference.

She said to the teachers: “As teachers, you need to teach with purpose. Passion and purpose lead to greatness. Be a bold teacher and empower your learners to become great.”

Sisanda Mamanzi, of Bureau Veritas and former learner at the school, together with Beatrice Scharneck, district HR manager of Southern Africa Bureau Veritas, also addressed the attendees.

The Ithemba Trust, in alignment with the Bureau Veritas Southern Africa’s strong social awareness ethos, focus on empowering females from previously disadvantaged backgrounds with a focus in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines.

The Trust provided gifts for attendees before everyone enjoyed networking and light refreshments.
