It’s a wonderful sight to see Benonians help each other, but it is impeccable when someone from another country chooses to make Benoni their home in order to help Benonians.
Happy Mozan, who is in Benoni from Malawi on a Global Mission Fellow assignment, is dedicating some of his time to helping the local community.
“I arrived in Benoni in November and am staying in Lakefield. I’m here until next year,” he said.
“I am part of Global Ministries and was sent here to work in missions and outreaches in Etwata and Daveyton.”
“We look at the level of addictions of people and try to get them into a rehabilitation centre.”
Happy recently attended an inspirational breakfast at the church, where Wayne Duvenage, CEO of the Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse (Outa), was the guest speaker and took the opportunity to sell raffle tickets to raise money for Global Ministries.
The winner of the raffle will be chosen at random and announced on April 29.
