Police on manhunt for Daveyton murder suspects

The motive of the killing is unknown.

Police have launched a manhunt for three men after two women were shot dead on March 4, at Phaswane Street, Daveyton around 8pm.

Ekurhuleni Central Cluster spokesperson Capt Nomsa Sekele said the man, who was driving a VW Polo, with two female occupants in the car, parked on the side of the road to go to the nearest shop, leaving the two women inside.

“As the man went to the shop, another VW Polo with no registration number, parked a few meters away from their vehicle. Three armed men came out of the vehicle, went to the two women and shot them in the upper body,” said Sekele.

“The three men ran back to their vehicle and drove off.”

Paramedics declared the two females dead on scene.

The motive of the killing is unknown.

A case of murder was opened at the Daveyton Police Station.

Police urge anyone with information to visit their nearest police station or contact crime stop on 08600 10111.
