Liverpool Secondary learner dies at school

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known.

“ER24 paramedics responded to a school on the East Rand after receiving reports that a child had collapsed today (February 21),” confirmed ER24 communications officer Russel Meiring.

“On arrival, paramedics found a 17-year-old boy lying under a tree with a number of learners nearby.

“Paramedics assessed the patient and found he showed no signs of life.

“CPR and advanced life support interventions were immediately initiated in an effort to revive the patient.

“Unfortunately, after approximately 30 minutes, no vital signs returned and he was declared dead.”

The school was contacted regarding the incident but have declined to comment.
