BREAKING NEWS: Lack of teachers sparks peaceful protest at William Hills Secondary in Actonville

This is a developing story.

The City Times is on site at William Hills Secondary School, in Actonville, where learners and teachers have embarked on a peaceful protest over a lack of teachers.
Learners said the school does not have teachers for physical sciences, economics, mathematics, Afrikaans and sport.
“We will strike until the Department of Education meets our demand,” said one of the learners.

The youngsters from Grades Eight to 12 do want an education and feel that they are being deprived of this due to the limited number of teachers.
The entire school is affected by the strike as all the learners refuse to go to class, with most singing in protest on the premises.
