Life Choices needs your donation

The organisation is also looking for volunteers to join their fund-raising team.

Life Choices Pregnancy Crisis Centre is in need of donations as they will be moving to new premises in Cloverdene soon.

This non-profit organisation is currently based at the Covenant Life Centre in Webb Street, Northmead.

They provide counselling to women who find themselves facing an unplanned pregnancy.

Lauren Jee, founder of the centre, said helping more mothers and babies in their new office space will ensure that they use their time more effectively.

“We will also be able to build more into our beneficiaries going forward to ensure they can make positive changes in their lives to be able to support themselves and their children,” said Jee.

Every week, the centre hosts workshops that focus on three topics – antenatal, child development and life skills.

Jee said the aim of these workshops is to teach mothers skills they can use to make a living.

“Most of these moms don’t work and with these skills, they may be able to start their own businesses,” she said.

They are in need of the following items:

• Six sets of curtains and net curtains

• Three blinds (kitchen and bathrooms)

• Fridge

• Four trestle tables

• 12 black plastic chairs

• Whiteboard (2.4m x 1.2m)

• Television and sound system

• Shelving for storage

• Wendy house

• Four wingback chairs

• 10 multiplugs

• Security cameras

• Alarm system

• Electric gate motor

• New signage

The centre also welcomes donations of toiletries for moms and babies, as well as clothes and nappies of all sizes.
