WATCH: EXCLUSIVE Drone Footage of the Metro’s Watermaster Removing Hyacinth on Middle Lake.

Also, download the PixzAR App on your mobile phone and go to page 3 of today’s City Times to view drone footage of the hyacinth build up on the dam.

In today’s (Thursday) issue of the City Times it is reported on page three that the hyacinth removal at Middle Lake was delayed due to the metro’s Watermaster machine being faulty.

Last week the machine was out of action due a burst hydraulic seal, according to metro spokesperson Themba Gadebe.

The Watermaster has since been repaired and is hard at work removing hyacinth, as captured in this exclusive drone footage taken yesterday (Wednesday).

The Watermaster arrived at Middle Lake on January 14 after it was reported the hyacinth build up was adding pressure on the lake, affecting the repairs to the slab collapse on the dam wall previously reported on December 23.
