Eight bundles of joy born at Benoni hospitals on New Year’s Day

The expectant parents were overjoyed with their New Years babies

Netcare Linmed: Antionette Jane Bates gave birth to David Johannes Fourie at 32 weeks. He weighed 1.85kg and was 43cm in length. Mom said proudly that David is the seventh boy in their family to carry this name.

Two local hospitals welcomed eight babies into the world on New Year’s day, with one baby born at the Life The Glynnwood Hospital and seven babies born at Netcare Linmed Hospital.

Netcare Linmed: Happy mommy Storm Ontong with her baby girl Peyton Knight, who weighed 2.9kg and was 52cm in length.

Netcare Linmed: Amelia Maluleke with her baby boy, Mulweri, weighing in at 3kg and 49cm in length.

Netcare Linmed: Baby Clarise Louw, who weighed 3.52kgs and was 51cm long, gets a loving cuddle from mom Christel.
