Santa Claus came to town in an ambulance

The day was deemed a success.

If you live in Benoni and the party is hosted by the Benoni CPF, then it is expected of Santa Claus to arrive in an ER24 vehicle in the spirit of the red and white Christmas colours.

Making his grand entrance on December 1 at a venue in Airfield, Neil Dietrechsen (dressed as Santa) visited some of the children from the Abraham Kriel Bambanani satellite houses to hand out presents.

The CPF Youth Desk sectors two and six participated in making the day a success.

CPF public relations officer Marinda Beaukes said several people from Starlight Caterers, Vumatel and Broadway Sweets joined forces to ensure the day was a success.

“These children are the ones who do not have holiday homes, so we decided to have a party for them,” Marinda explained.

Age specified gifts were provided for the 26 children who indulged in a scrumptious lunch after Santa gave their presents and chocolates to them.

Sector Two manager and Benoni police officer WO Jaco Myburgh also attended the day to have casual chats with the youth.

Overall, the day was a special and memorable one.
