Over 100 people screened for diabetes at Northmead Mall

The Benoni Van Rhyn Lions Club held a book sale and free diabetes screening at Northmead Mall on November 24.

There was a wide range of books to choose from and the public had an opportunity to have their sugar levels tested.

The book sale raised R1 140 and a total of 114 people were screened.

Janis van der Heiden of the club said their next book sale will be next year.
