Hijacked vehicle recovered in Actonville

The 31-year-old man was arrested and charged for being in possession of a stolen vehicle.

A Toyota Quantum that was hijacked from its lawful owner was recovered by the EMPD Equestrian Unit members on November 25 in Actonville.

EMPD spokesperson Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago said police noticed the minibus on Dube Street with a driver who looked suspicious.

They then stopped and checked the vehicle.

“Upon further assessment, it was found the vehicle was reported with the Actonville SAPS as stolen,” said Kgasago.

The 31-year-old man was arrested and charged for being in possession of a stolen vehicle.

The case was opened at Actonville Police Station.
