[LISTEN]: Benoni SPCA helps to heal the environment

Tetra Pak packaging can also be recycled according to Mpact's Adele Thompson

Mpact, together with Benoni’s Mrs SA finalist Sharlene Correia, visited the Benoni SPCA on October 24.

Mpact procurement specialist Adele Thompson said a drop-off zone had been created at the SPCA in a bid to raise awareness about the importance of recycling.

“We want to encourage people to recycle,” she said.

“The drop-off zone is focussed on paper related waste and this now includes Tetra Pak packaging.

“We also take PET, which is plastic two-litre Coke bottles and the buddy bottles plus water bottles (the caps can remain on).”

Two bins for glass bottle drop-offs are also placed at the SPCA.
