Competition: Buy a cake and possibly win a dinner

Lions clubs across the country sell the cakes and all proceeds are in aid of their community projects.

The public can now buy a Lions Christmas cake at the City Times offices, at Northmead Square.

Not only will you have a gorgeous dessert for your Christmas table but supporting this worthy cause will also put you in line to win an R800 dinner voucher for two at the beautiful, conservatory-style Aurelia’s Restaurant, at the D’oreale Grande Hotel, at Emperors Palace.

Public relations manager for Emperors Palace Julie van Wyk explained that Aurelia’s is the perfect setting for a romantic candlelit dinner.

“Our chefs work with only the finest ingredients and infuse each creation with local and Mediterranean flavours and spices.

“The winner is in for an unforgettable experience and we look forward to welcoming them,” said Julie.

Benoni, Benoni Lakes, Van Ryn and Benoryn clubs have all dropped off a limited amount of cakes for sale at the City Times and they’re selling at R110 each.
