Mrs Gauteng finalist wants to help those in need

Donate and make a difference.

Buhle Ngubeni is a Mrs Gauteng 2018 finalist and wants to use this platform to encourage the community to assist the RoleModels Foundation (RMF).

The Benoni CBD resident said the Mrs Gauteng pageant is hosted by RMF and is a fundraiser for the foundation, which sustains several projects across South Africa.

“They have projects that target the three most vulnerable groups – abused women and children, and senior citizens,” said Ngubeni.

“The foundation is close to my heart because I know what it’s like not to have parents, as my mother left me with my grandmother at a young age.”

Ngubeni said even though her grandmother was unemployed she tried her best to make sure that she received an education and, most importantly, she gave her love.

“When I was teacher I was touched by the stories from the learners, some of them don’t have parents and they have to take care of their younger siblings.”

She said this is why it so important for her to make a difference by lending a helping hand to this foundation.

Ngubeni said should she win the competition, cleanliness in the province and in Benoni will be her top priority.

The foundation is need of donations of clothing, bedding, educational toys, stationery, toiletries, non-perishable food, detergents and building materials.

The grand finale will be held on November 17 at the Leriba Hotel, Centurion.
