Police pray for divine intervention against crime

The prayer sessions are held monthly and the public is welcome to be part of these prayers.

The Ekurhuleni Central Cluster officers seek divine intervention to help them carry out their duties successfully.

Members of the SAPS converged at the Beth-el Family Worship Centre on September 20 for a prayer session to ask God to boost their morals and help them to curb crime.

The service was attended by local pastors and members of the community.

The cluster Chaplin, Captain Reverend Godfrey Booysen said the divine intervention is a strategy that was adopted by the SAPS as one of the objectives to fight crime and build up social morality.

“This intervention is about police partnering with churches to build a better relationship with the community,” said Booysen.

The prayer sessions are held monthly and the public is welcome to be part of these prayers.
