Spring enthusiasts usher in the season in style

Over 100 stalls comprised of food, unique gifts, a fashion show, live entertainment and even jumping castles for the young at heart made up the day.

The 2018 Annual Spring Fair in aid of Purple Red Paws took place recently in Northmead.

Cindy Joshua, head organiser of the fair, said it was a day of family, fun and fur babies, as pets were also welcome to attend.

Vendors with arts and crafts, food stalls, children’s toys and much more occupied the field space.

One of the performers on the day was a singer by the name of Marli who wowed the crowds with English and Afrikaans songs.

“It’s probably one of the fairs in Johannesburg with vendors from various areas all coming together to make the day a success,” said Joshua.

“It’s something for everyone to enjoy.

“We also host Halloween and Christmas fairs, closer to the actual holidays of course,” she said.

From garden decorations to chutney and biltong and clothing stalls, the event delivered on the springy attraction it was set out to be.
