Shooting leaves one person injured in Farrarmere

The incident is being investigated.

One person was transported to hospital after being shot twice in the upper body on September 4 at his home in Farrarmere.

Benoni SAPS spokesperson Captain Nomsa Sekele said the incident took place in Dawn Street.

“At about 5.30am, the complainant was preparing to go to work,” Sekele said.

“When she entered the garage on her property she found the first suspect.”

Sekele said the complainant was puzzled and before she could react, the suspect hit her with a firearm and she fell.

“That is when she saw three more suspects approaching her home, where she said her son also resides,” Sekele explained.

“While still on the ground, the complainant said she saw her son chase the suspects after which she heard two gunshots.

“The complainant stood up and saw blood on the ground. She then heard her son screaming he had been shot.”

Sekele added the woman called for help and her son was taken to hospital.
