Benoni SPCA inspector Shiven Bodasing received a tipoff from the public on December 6, 2017, about a dog fighting incident in Nigel.

“When I got to the premises I inspected the evidence found and immediately arrested the suspect for allegedly (at the time) orchestrating dog fighting.

“I took him to the nearest police station to be formally charged,” said Bodasing.

The arrested suspect, Johnson Bosman, pleaded guilty to what Bodasing said was a schedule five offence and was prosecuted by the court on August 8.
