A 41-year-old woman has been arrested for assault with grievous bodily harm (GBH) on August 9 in Putfontein.
Putfontein SAPS spokesperson Constable Justice Ramaube said it is alleged that the woman assaulted her ex-boyfriend at Tavern in Mina Nawe, Mayfield, at about 11pm.
“The 45-year-old man alleges that he was sitting with his friends when the woman started to swear at him before assaulting him,” said Ramaube.

The man was taken to the nearest clinic for treatment.
A case of assault with grievous bodily harm was opened at the Putfontein Police Station.
The woman is expected to appear at the Daveyton Magistrate’s Court soon.
