A case of murder was opened at the Pufontein Police Station on August 12 after a man was shot three times by unknown suspects.
“The murder occurred at the man’s fruit store close to Zwakala squatter camp near Mayfield Extension Six around 8.30pm,” said Putfontein SAPS spokesperson, Constable Justice Ramaube.
“Police received a tip-off from the community as they went to look after hearing gunshots,” said Ramaube.

“The motive for the killing is unknown at this stage.”
Nothing was taken from the store.
No arrests have been made as yet, however, police are appealing to the public to come forward with any information regarding the incident.
