SAPS confirmed that a live bomb was discovered in a scrap yard in Benoni South at approximately 11am today. (August 15).

Earlier:
“Benoni SAPS received a tip-off from the scrap yard about a bomb-like looking object,” said Ekurhuleni Central Cluster spokesperson, Capt Nomsa Sekele.
The Bomb Squad is on scene trying to disarm the bomb.
