Lakeside Mall’s Dance Off competition kicked off on June 23 and will continue to groove until July 21.
Here is how the competition works – as long as you can boogie-woogie, you can enter.
Different dance groups will battle it out in their respective categories on June 30, July 7 and July 21 for the grand prize of R15 000.
On June 23, about six dance groups battled it out in the pantsula category.

The three winners are Gaboria, Ratchet Boys and Fire Black Horse.
A video of each performance has been uploaded to the Lakeside Mall Facebook page and the public can vote for their favourite – but you only have about a week to do so before the video is removed.
The video with the most votes will win the pantsula category.
The same will apply to the following categories:
• Hip-hop: June 30.
• Sikhothane and contemporary dance: July 7.
Be at the Town Square (Steers entrance) at Lakeside Mall before 10am on these dates to enter.
Four groups in total will be chosen (winner with the most votes in each category).
The group with the most votes wins R5 000 and will compete in the final battle (July 21) against the two groups who get the second and third most votes for the R15 000 grand prize.
