Schools urged to having a sleepout for Madiba

Under-resourced schools will receive the items and/or services collected by the School SleepOut events, which form the wish list which participants can select from during the registration process.

On what would have been Madiba’s 100th birthday, schools across the country are invited to join in the Nelson Mandela School Sleepout – Empowered by Liliesleaf: For The Tomorrow Trust.

The 2018 SleepOut Movement would like to see 200 schools SleepOut on July 18 on their premises and raise as many donations for the country’s schools in need, while collectively breaking a Guinness Book of Records for Madiba.

In Gauteng, beneficiary schools include Alexandra Secondary, Bokamoso Secondary, Diepsloot Primary, Emfundisweni Primary, Ingqayizivele Secondary, Kwadedangendlale Secondary, Thabisang Primary, and Tlamatlama Primary.
