A public meeting will be held by Muri Enviro Consulting and Waste Management on April 16.

The meeting will be held at the Eden Park Village, Brentwood Park at 7pm.

Muri Enviro Consulting and Waste Management has been appointed by Spill Tech to process an application for a waste management licence.

Environmental assessment practitioner Lutendo Ndou from Muri Enviro Consulting and Waste Management said Spill Tech is planning to establish a new treatment facility for the treatment of hazardous waste such as contaminated soil and liquid waste.

Spill Tech is a hazardous waste management company.

The proposed location for the development is on Goedeburg Extension 52 on the remainder of portion 132 of farm Rietpan 66-IR on 22 Van Wyk Road, Brentwood Park.

The aim of the meeting is to explain to residents about the project and to allow them to share their comments and questions on the proposed development.

Ward 23 Clr André du Plessis said these are there initial stages (advertising stages) for the draft scooping reporting which is a facility for public participation.
