Western Extension:
From a music perspective, I would like to hear dubstep on Friday nights. On the news front, people need to be educated about their rights, such as one’s rights when it comes to being stopped by the CPF.
Farrarmere:
I enjoy older music, such as golden oldies. I love traffic updates. Knowing about crime in our area will make us more aware. A weekly crime update will ensure there is not too much doom and gloom.
Rynfield:
I am a big fan of music, especially local music such as Strait-Jackal and Kings of Improg (Koi). It will be a good platform to profile them and play their music. I would also like to know about local hangouts.
Farrarmere:
I prefer listening to music on radio. I would like to hear current hits, but it does not need to be a specific genre. I have no desire to hear news updates because I do not have an interest in news at all.
Crystal Park:
I would like to hear of crime which has taken place in my community. In addition to that, there is a need for news about school safety and bullying. The youth need to be educated about bullying and drugs.
Airfield:
Community news such as events and markets. I would also like to know about exercise boot camps. I do not think all events feature in the BCT. The station should play through shopping centres’ sound systems.
Crystal Park:
I would like to know what employment opportunities there are and what is happening in the industry. Reports from the metro about new developments and regular interviews with councillors will be welcomed.
Morehill:
Anything that is interesting, such as sport and business opportunities. I would like to hear about rugby and cricket news – not necessarily local – as I am a big sports fan. There should be a recycling segment, too.
Crystal Park:
I would like a fashion blog section and house music to be played. I am interested in fashion, so would like to know of fashion events and schools in Benoni. This will inspire the youth interested in fashion.
