The lifts at Deneys Conradie Residentia and Pauline Davis Court in Western Extension, and Delhi Court and Karachi Court in Actonville will be fixed.

Ward 73 Clr Sinethemba Matiwane said the contractors signed their appointment letters on March 14 for Deneys Conradie Residentia and Pauline Davis Court.

Ward 29 Clr Haseena Ismail said two new lifts for each flat block will be installed at Delhi and Karachi courts.

“The contractor is expected to start construction on April 10 and the project is expected to take between six and nine months,” she said.

Matiwane said an introduction meeting was held where the Department of Human Settlements introduced him to the contractors as the ward councillor for Deneys Conradie and Pauline Davis.

He said the site establishments will be done on April 11 for Deneys Conradie Residentia and April 16 for Pauline Davis Court.

Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) spokesperson Themba Gadebe said the budget for Pauline Davis is R1 527 919.46 and R 1 387 379 for Deneys Conradie Residentia.

He said construction on both buildings will start in the second week of April and will take four to six months to finish.

The metro did not respond when asked about the budgets for Delhi Court and Karachi Court.
