Dynamic hijacking awareness course has powerful impact on Caxton sales team
Your life is worth far more than your car, your phone or your wallet! This important message comes from Shane Comley-White, a highly trained self-defence instructor and owner of Dynamic Impact.
Shane and his colleague Hans Engelbrecht recently presented an informative hijacking awareness course to the sales team from Caxton East and South.
With years of experience and legal knowledge, Shane and Hans discussed several important topics, including the different types of hijacking, what preventative measures a person can take to try to avoid becoming a victim and how motorists and passengers should react if they are involved in a hijacking.
“Always be alert and aware of what is going on around you,” Shane instructed.
“If you are hijacked, it’s important to react calmly.”
For the loving moms and hip, young grannies in the room, one of the most vital aspects which Shane addressed was how to react if children are in the car during a hijacking.
Following these insightful discussions, Shane and Hans escorted the sales team to the parking area where they demonstrated how a person should exit a vehicle if someone is trying to take their car.
During this practical session, the staff were taught how to raise their hands and remove their seat belts without making any sudden movements.
Although this exercise caused some of the sales consultants to jump, it clearly helped enforce all the valuable tips they had learnt throughout the morning.
“It was a really informative course and a great refresher,” said Carlene du Toit, group sales manager for Caxton East Rand.
“It definitely gave the staff something to keep in mind when they are driving.”
