What is your rainfall reading?

The SA Weather Service has warned against localised flooding on March 22 and 23, as rainfall continues in Gauteng.

Benoni weather man Clive Webber, who has a weather station in Rynfield, said this spell of rain started on March 16.

He recorded these readings:

March 16: 10mm. Webber said this rainfall was accompanied by winds reaching up to 51.5km/h.

March 17: 4.4mm.

March 18: 0.2mm.

March 19: 0.2mm.

March 20: 3.2mm.

March 21: 26.4mm.

March 22: 8.4mm (Until 10am).

He said the heavy scattered storms have largely bypassed Benoni, saying areas south of the town experienced heavier rainfall.
