LISTEN: Why your child should become a Cub, Scout

Funds raised will be used for Arrowe Park’s development.

The East Rand Scouts welcomed Cubs, Scouts and members of the public to Arrowe Park on March 4 for the annual Open Water Swim fund-raiser.

The First Benoni Sea Scouts event drew swimmers who competed in the 250m, 400m, 750m, 1 000m and relay events.

Money raised from the 180-odd swimmers will be used for the upliftment of Arrowe Park and its facilities.

The event raised R14 500.

It’s the fourth time the event was held on Homestead Dam.
