The Putfontein SAPS have arrested a 29-year-old man for allegedly raping his brother’s girlfriend on February 11.
The incident occurred in Diliza Street, Mayfield Extension Six, Putfontein around 2am.
Putfontein SAPS spokesperson, Const Justice Ramaube, said it is alleged that the couple went to the boyfriend’s house after a party.
“When they arrived at the boyfriend’s place, they found the brother inside the house,” said Ramaube.

“After a few minutes the boyfriend went outside and left the girlfriend with his brother.”
Ramaube said while the boyfriend was outside, the brother declared his undying love to the woman.
“When the woman rejected him, he then raped her.”
The man was arrested and a case of rape was opened at the Putfontein SAPS.
He will appear in the Benoni Magistrate’s Court soon.
