Benonian wants to fight human trafficking

The Benoni resident needs your votes.

Having always had a passion for modelling, Ntando Magaisa’s passion drove her to enter the Miss Eagle SA 2018 competition.

The woman empowerment contest uses beauty, brains and purpose to empower young women.

The 24-year-old said she entered the competition because she wants to help her community and other women.

“I want to start a foundation for victims of human trafficking and educate people about drugs and abuse,” she said.

The Leachville resident said after seeing a post about the competition on Facebook, she decided to enter.

Magaisa said her family supported her decision and encouraged her to believe in herself and go for her dreams.

Part of the tasks she has to do is to engage with the media. This includes doing radio and print interviews, charity work and public speaking.

“So far I’ve been doing charity work. It has taught me how to communicate and socialise with people, especially the elderly. They are so lonely because they don’t get visitors,” she said.

Magaisa describes herself as a soft-hearted, kind person who loves children.

The competition will take place on December 15 at the Sandton Convention Centre.

The public can vote for her on various platforms.
