Four hurt in Great North Road accident

Two vehicles were involved.

Four people were transported to hospital following a two-vehicle accident on Great North Road this afternoon (January 27).

The collision happened on the corner of Great North Road and West Street, at about 12.45pm.

Clair Wolstencroft, ER24 spokesperson, said one of the cars had four occupants.

ER24 transported the female driver and two female teenagers to hospital after they received advanced life support.

Wolstencroft said she is not sure what condition the male teenager was in, as the patient had already been transported to hospital by another paramedic service by the time she arrived on scene.

The driver of the second car declined to be taken to hospital.

In a separate incident, a man was taken to hospital with minor injuries after the vehicle he was driving rolled on Main Reef Road, near McAlpine Road, at about 6.30 this morning.
