Vehicle of woman shot in hand is recovered

No arrests have been made

A vehicle was recovered in Wattville shortly after a woman was hijacked in Boksburg on January 24.

Chief Sup Wilfred Kgasago, EMPD spokesperson, said a woman was hijacked and shot in the hand in Boksburg south at about 7am.

“While the victim was receiving medical attention on the scene from paramedics, the Equestrian Unit members started the search for the hijacked vehicle and the suspects with the assistance of the GPS coordinates provided by the vehicle tracking company,” said Kgasago.

“Just before 8am the hijacked vehicle, a white Honda sedan, was located in Wattville.”

The abandoned vehicle was still intact.

No arrests have been made.
