Rotary Van Ryn lends a helping hand

For the fourth year, the Rotary Club of Benoni Van Ryn assisted the Meals On Wheels for the Aged (MoW) organisation from mid-December to January 9.

These are the Rotary Van Ryn members who helped with the routes on January 4. They are (from left) Cynthia Glazer, Brian Ancient, Maxi Kuit, Antonette Grobler, Bob Savage and Neil Murray.

Rotary Van Ryn member Neil Murray said this is so the MoW team can leave for holiday each year.

Murray said before Van Ryn became involved, meals couldn’t be delivered.

During this time Rotary Van Ryn also provides the meals for free, usually, the recipients pay a small fee.

The club has two routes and delivers about 50 meals per day.
