Rynfield home ransacked for money and goods

A case of house robbery was opened at Benoni Police Station after a woman and her husband were tied up in Rynfield in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Benoni SAPS spokesperson, Capt Nomsa Sekele, said the incident took place at around 1.30am as the woman was getting ready for bed.

“According to the woman, she was in her house when the lights went out,” Sekele said.

“She then went outside to investigate and saw three suspects who pushed her back into the house.”

The woman and her husband were tied up while the house was ransacked.

Sekele said an undisclosed amount of money and jewellery was taken.
