“I wish him all the best and good luck in the running of the school,” said outgoing acting principal Glen van der Westhuizen.
Rooyakkers was announced as BHS’s new principal on December 13.
The City Times reported that former principal Jake Ceronio retired from his post at BHS in June.

“I’ve seen a lot of development at the school, not only in the children but also the buildings, sports and the recent tertiary education option we started offering,” Ceronio told the City Times.
