Rynpark residents knit plenty teddies

Hand-made teddies, totalling 180, were handed over to the Kruisweg Gemeente Church bikers at Rynpark Seven on November 18.

Kruisweg Gemeente Church motorcycle riders received teddies from Rynpark Seven residents.

The toys were knitted by 10 women from Rynpark Seven.

The motorcyclists are due to take the toys to this year’s Toy Run to be held at Benoni Northerns Sports Club on November 26.

The Toy Run is an annual event where thousands of bikers and enthusiasts gather to collect as many toys as possible to be handed to children in need.

The knitters have made a total of 500 toys this year, with some of them having been donated to Cansa, Netcare Linmed Hospital and the Benoni Fire and Emergency Services to give to victims as a means to comfort.
